COMMUNITY

Growing In Faith

We regularly run courses to help people to explore the Christian faith and encourage them on their discipleship journey. Examples include The Start Course, The Bible Course, and Pilgrim courses covering topics such as The Lord’s Prayer, the Creeds and the Ten Commandments. Everyone is welcome whether you have been a Christian for many years or are just setting out on the journey. Those who wish to be baptised or confirmed are encouraged to take part in these courses in addition to some special preparation sessions.

Tea and Toast Club (Bereavement Support)

An opportunity for those who have been bereaved to meet for friendship, support and excellent bacon sandwiches! Everyone welcome.

Trinity Fellowship

Trinity Fellowship is an opportunity to meet together, and to listen to speakers on a range of topics. Recent topics have included the work of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, the Sheffield Cathedral Archer Project and Elizabethan Mysteries.

We meet in Wentworth Mechanics Hall on the second Wednesday of each month at 1.30pm. Our meetings begin with a short act of worship, and we always finish with refreshments.

All welcome.

Friday Friends

Our Friday Friends group meets at 10 am on the fourth Friday of each month at Harley Mission rooms for coffee, cake and friendship. All welcome.

Bell Ringing

Wentworth has a thriving team of bell ringers who regularly ring on Sunday mornings, at weddings and at other celebrations.

We welcome new members whether experienced ringers or complete novices. If you would like to give it a try, please contact us.

There are steps to climb but it’s well worth it to have lots of fun, make new friends and keep fit in mind and body!

Practices are held weekly:
April – September – Friday Evenings
October – March – Saturday Afternoons

Contact us for more information or to get in touch about the bells.
