Services in the Old Church 2012
As per usual, we are allowed (by law) upto six Sunday Services a year in the Old Church. Due to the limited seating capicity, we use these to hold our Early Communion and Evensong Services. This year they are on the following dates:
29th July - 8.15am - Holy Communion
5th August - 6.30pm - Evensong
12th August - 8.15am - Holy Communion
19th August - 6.30pm - Evensong
26th August - 8.15am - Holy Communion
2nd September - 6.30pm - Evensong

Its our Birthday - Join the Celebration!
A Celebration of Faith - Sunday, July 29th, 2012 at 10.45am - You're Invited!
This year marks Wentworth Church's 135th Anniversary – because of this we are holding a special service to celebrate the occasion. All are very welcome to join us for this event, which will be followed by light refreshments.
Garden Party 2012
This year’s church garden party will take place on Saturday June 30th 2012, starting at 2.30 pm
There will be plenty of exciting stalls, bric-a-brac, cakes, games and novelty events
Please tell all your friends! - This is a chance to make a generous contribution towards the running of our beautiful church.
Art Exhibition 2012
Wentworth Church Art Exhibition 2012
Monday 4th June 2012, 11am to 5pm &
Tuesday 5th June 2012, 10am to 4pm
We will have over 600 local artists’ original works for sale in church s well as Live Music and Entertainment, with refrshments being served in the school, and various stalls in marquees on the church lawn (this a new feature).
The Old Church is hoped to be open for tours during the entire weekend. This year, there will no events in the Mechanics.
April Evening Harmony
Join the Thurnscoe Harmonic Male Voice Choir on 28th April 2012 at 7:30pm with their guest Helen Carey (Flute) for an "April Evening Harmony".
Admission is £6 including light refreshments.

Concert in Wentworth Church by Kate Collier & Richard Taylor. Kate, a member of our choir is a lovely singer and Richard, our organist is a talented musician, This should be a wonderful evening. Watch out for posters but otherwise just buy your tickets at the door.
Introduction to Christianity
If you are new to church, you feel you don't understand everything that goes on, or you want to move forward (maybe to receive holy communion), then this is for you. Every year Richard (the Vicar) and his wife Sylvia offer something called a Start! Course, consisting of about six sessions each including a DVD slot and discussion. Everyone who has been in the past has enjoyed them and gained a lot from them.
